The second major release of the SIMPLE framework is now available!
The HTCondor Deployment Guide has been updated accordingly and we highly encourage site admins, especially those who plan to move to HTCondor via SIMPLE, to set up their HTCondor cluster with the new instructions.
The core of the framework features the following two new components :
- SIMPLE CLI : A user-friendly wrapper script for interacting with the framework that provides utilities for generating, pre-compiling, logging and applying the preferred configuration for your infrastructure.
- SIMPLE Infrastructure Validation Engine : Performs extensive checks to ensure that a production-ready cluster is obtained at the end of the deployment by the SIMPLE framework.
There have been several significant improvements in our Puppet Module and the HTCondor repositories towards making the deployments more robust and compatible with the latest releases of Puppet5, Docker, Docker Swarm and Puppet Bolt.
We have also set-up a new Discussion Forum to make community-wide announcements for important updates and future improvements to the framework. With your participation, we hope to build a shared knowledge base of discussions, issues, and questions related to the SIMPLE Framework.
